Oggi qui, bellissimi i contrasti tra il verde dove c'è acqua e il deserto intorno. Bello come Petra, forse di più!

Dopo i cieli notturni boliviani, eccone uno Cileno. A San Pedro de Atacama, dove siamo in questi giorni, fatta vicino al nostro alloggio col mio S22 che ha la funzione astrofoto. 

Today uphill day …. arrived at an altitude of 5,600 meters with icy wind at over 70kmh … other than the 70kmh descent speed of yesterday by bicycle!! … in any case our highest point touched in life … and in our case we also think it will stay that way!

This morning after clearing Bolivian and Chilean customs and immigration we went all the way down to San Pedro the Atacama. We met other long trip bicycle nomads and we did the descent with two New Zealanders cyclists, Thomas and Julie. We met them in Laguna Verde, they left in October for a one year bike trip around Latin America. What a goal!

With them pushing us to the limit, we reached top speeds up to 65 – 70 kmph 😬 with a 2000m altitude descent all straight to the peculiar village of San Pedro, full of strangers and western style shops.

Ieri giorno incredibile in cui abbiamo visitato i geyseres Sol de Mañana, termas de Polques ricominciato a pedalare nel Deserto Salvador Dalí, con una rinfrescante salita a 4700 metri di altezza e siamo arrivati a Laguna Verde dove abbiamo incontrato altri 4 ciclisti giramondo!
